Akshaj Overseas

Akshaj Overseas is based in the Bori Regency building, over in Kailash Park. We are at No. 402, right near Geeta Bhavan. It’s a decent area and we’ve been here for a bit. The office is one of several in the building, so we see the same faces in the hallway every day. Our work involves a lot of coordination and paperwork, which isn't very exciting to talk about, but it fills the hours. We have a couple of old desks that have seen better days and a printer that jams more often than we’d like. It’s just the way it is. We spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to make sure things are moving where they need to go. Geeta Bhavan is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. The weather gets pretty stuffy in the afternoons, so we keep the windows open even if it lets in some of the noise from the street. There’s no big corporate vibe here. We are just regular people trying to get through the to-do list before the day ends. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work, and other times we head out early if things are quiet. It’s a flexible enough place, but we stay busy. It’s just a small office doing its part in the neighborhood and we like it that way.
