Being over at B/9 in the Industrial Estate at Pologround means there is always a lot of noise outside. You hear trucks backing up and people shouting all day. We have been in this building for years. The walls could use a new coat of paint, but we are more focused on what is happening on the production floor. We make various medicines, and the machines can be quite loud when they are all running at once. My morning usually starts with checking the inventory and making sure everyone showed up for their shift. We keep the place clean, of course, because you have to in this line of work. There is a small area where we keep our files and the old computer that still works somehow. Ajmera Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. is a practical operation. We don’t spend money on big signs or glossy brochures. Most of our time is spent making sure the batches are done on time so they can get loaded onto the trucks. Sometimes we stay late when a big order needs to go out. We eat our lunch together in the small break room. It’s mostly local guys working here. We deal with the heat in the summer and the rain that sometimes leaks near the loading dock. It’s just the way it is working in an industrial area like Pologround. We just keep our heads down and do the job.
