Agrawal Fixture & Lumanaries

Agrawal Fixture & Lumanaries is located at 23, Siyaganj, on Street No. 2. Siyaganj is a very old and busy wholesale market, and our shop is right in the thick of it. It’s a narrow street, so when a truck comes in to unload, everything else basically stops until they are finished. Our shop is full of boxes of lights and different metal fixtures. There isn't a lot of room to move around, and we often have to climb over things to get to the back. The walls are lined with samples, some of which have been there for years and are a bit out of style, but people still ask for them. My family has been involved with this for a long time, so the Agrawal name is pretty well known around the street. We don't spend money on fancy displays or anything like that. We just show people the fixtures, tell them the price, and get them what they need. The air is always a bit thick with dust and the smell of cardboard. We have an old wooden desk where we sit to write out the bills by hand. It’s a very traditional way of doing things, but it works for us and our customers. On hot days, we keep the front shutter half-down to keep the sun out. It’s just a normal shop where we try to keep things simple and keep the customers happy.
