Aarohi Kirana

You can find Aarohi Kirana in the Shukhaliya area of Indore, specifically at address C 987. We are right near the Shiv Mandir, which makes it very easy for people to give directions to our place. Most of our mornings start with people coming in for a few things right after they finish their prayers at the temple. We sell the usual groceries like flour, oil, and various spices. The shop itself is quite small, so we have to stack the boxes and bags high up to the ceiling to fit everything. It’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes when three or four people are inside the shop at once. I’ve lived here in Indore all my life, and this shop is how I spend most of my waking hours. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. Just a simple wooden board with the name painted on it. My wife usually helps me with the accounts in the afternoon when things quiet down for a bit. We know most of the families in Shukhaliya by their names. If someone is short a few rupees, we just write it down in the old register for next time. That’s just how things work in a local neighborhood like ours. It’s not about being some big successful business. We just want to make sure the locals have what they need for their kitchens without having to travel to the big malls. It’s a practical way to live and work near our home.
