Janvekar Supermarket

This supermarket is right on SH 124 in Muddebihal. We have been running things here for a good while and it’s a central part of our daily lives. The morning starts early when the crates arrive and we have to get everything onto the shelves before the first customers show up. It’s a lot of lifting and moving stuff around. Muddebihal can get quite warm, so we try to keep the shop as cool as we can for everyone who comes in. We stock all the usual things people need for their homes. It’s not a massive place like you see in the big cities, but we have enough room for the essentials. Sometimes the aisles feel a bit tight when it’s the weekend and everyone is out shopping at the same time. We know most of the people who walk through the doors since they live just down the road or in the nearby blocks. We don't use any fancy systems, just a basic way of keeping track of what we sell. The floor usually needs a good sweep by midday because of all the feet coming through. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we are used to it now. We just keep the doors open and wait for the next person to come in. It’s a simple life running Janvekar Supermarket on the state highway.
