Ramprakash Clinic

This clinic is right in the heart of the Main Market in Namana, which is part of the Bundi district. Being in the market means there is always something going on outside our door. You can hear the vendors calling out and the sound of people shopping for their daily needs. It’s a very local atmosphere and we are right in the middle of it all. The clinic is a basic setup, nothing too fancy, just a room where we see patients and a small space for people to wait their turn. We’ve been here in Namana for some time and most of the villagers know where to find us when they need to. The floors are stone and the furniture is simple wood and plastic. It gets a bit dusty because of all the activity in the market, but we try to sweep it out every morning. During the festival seasons, the market gets even more crowded and it can be a bit of a challenge to even get to the front door. We keep regular hours, opening up when the rest of the market starts to wake up. People come in from the outlying areas of the district, often carrying their shopping bags with them. It’s a practical place for people to stop by while they are doing their other chores. We just do our bit to help out the folks in the Namana area as they pass through.
