Celebrations The Gift Shop

We are located at Sd-117 in Anhinsa Khand. It’s a bit of a repetitive address with the way it’s written down, but it’s home for the shop. Celebrations has been here long enough that we’ve seen kids grow up and start coming in to buy gifts for their own friends now. The shop is full of all sorts of things, mostly items people pick up when they are on their way to a birthday party or a quick dinner. It’s not a massive space, so you have to be careful not to knock things over with your elbows when you turn around. We try to keep the windows clean so people can see what’s new, but the dust from the road makes it a daily job. There’s a certain way the shop smells—a mix of paper, plastic, and maybe a bit of incense we light in the morning. It’s just a regular shop. We don’t have a big staff, usually just one or two of us behind the counter. Sometimes it gets really quiet in the afternoon and we just sit and listen to the radio or read the news. Then suddenly, five people will walk in at once. That’s just how it goes here in Anhinsa Khand. We don't do anything too complicated. We just wrap things up and say thank you. It’s a nice way to spend the day.
