Rural Development

Located in Imphal, specifically in the Keishamthong Longjam Leirak area, Rural Development is our small operation. We focus on the things that matter for the local communities in Manipur. Our office is a simple place where we spend a lot of time talking to people from different villages about what they need. Whether it is about fixing a small road or looking into community resources, we are usually in the middle of it. The area here in Imphal is quite traditional, and we like it that way. It’s not a high-pressure corporate environment. We have some desks, some old maps of the districts, and a lot of tea. People walk in and out all day with various requests or just to update us on how a project is going. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team telling people how great we are. We just do the work that needs doing. Sometimes the communication with the more remote areas is a bit slow, especially during the heavy rains, but we manage to stay connected. It’s about being part of the local fabric here in Manipur. Every day brings a different challenge, and we just take it as it comes. It’s a slow and steady process, and we are happy to be a part of the daily life in Keishamthong. We have been in this location for quite a while and most people around here know us well.
