Nameirakpam Spare Parts is situated near Sing Jamei Road. It’s a quiet enough spot in Chingamakha, but the work never really stops. We deal with all kinds of spare parts for vehicles and machines. The shop is in Sing Jamei Top Leikai, a place where everyone kind of knows each other. If you’re looking for a specific bolt or a cable, we usually have it buried somewhere on the shelves. It’s not a shiny showroom. There’s dust and the smell of metal and oil, which is how a spare parts shop should be, I think. We spend a lot of time looking through catalogs or checking the back room for items. Local mechanics come by often. Sometimes the delivery truck is late and we have to tell people to come back tomorrow. That’s just how it goes here.
