Manipur Plastic Industries/ Lokhtak Industries

Working out of Takyel Industrial Estate isn't always the easiest thing, but it’s where we’ve been for a while now. Manipur Plastic Industries and Lokhtak Industries operate from here, mostly making things people need for their homes or shops. It’s a lot of plastic work, using machines that can get pretty loud when they’re all running at once. We aren’t some huge corporation with a glass building; it’s more of a practical workshop environment with concrete floors and stacks of finished goods waiting to be loaded onto the mini-trucks. The staff here are mostly local folks who know the routine. We spend our days checking the molds and making sure the plastic sets right. Sometimes the weather in Manipur makes it tough to keep the schedule, especially when the rain hits the tin roof so hard you can't hear the person standing next to you. We try to keep things organized at the estate, but it’s an industrial area, so there’s always a bit of dust and scrap laying around. People stop by to ask about bulk orders or just to see what we have ready to go. We don't have a fancy showroom or anything like that. You just walk in, talk to whoever is at the desk, and see what’s in stock. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until the sun goes down over the hills. We just keep the machines going and do our part.
