Mangal Creation

Mangal Creation is located down Lane No. 3 in the Singjamei area, specifically in Phongam, Leikai. It’s a bit of a quiet spot compared to the main roads. Our building is a simple one, and we use the front rooms for the workshop. You can usually find us surrounded by different types of cloth and sewing machines. The lane is narrow, so you mostly see neighbors walking by or kids playing outside. Inside, it’s a lot of cutting and stitching. We have shelves filled with different colored threads and buttons that sometimes spill over onto the floor. It’s not a fancy boutique with mannequins in the window. It’s just a place where we do our work and try to stay on top of the orders people give us. The walls are decorated with old calendars and a few pictures. Sometimes we sit on the porch during breaks to get some fresh air. The weather can be a bit humid, which makes the fabric feel heavy, but we manage. We’ve been part of the Leikai community for a while, so everyone knows us. We don't really have a set routine other than starting in the morning and working until the light gets too low. It’s a steady pace, and we enjoy being in this part of Singjamei. It feels more like a home than a business most of the time, which suits us just fine.
