Being in Laxmi Bhavan gives us a solid place to operate from. The building itself has a bit of character, and Block D is where we have set up our office. Mahatma Gandhi Avenue is always full of life, with people walking by and cars honking at all hours. It’s a central location, so there is always something to see out the window. Our space inside Plot 114 is quite traditional. We have heavy desks and plenty of paper files because that’s just how we’ve always done things. It’s not one of those modern, minimalist offices you see in magazines. It’s a bit crowded and feels lived-in. We have been here at Laxmi Bhavan for a long time, and the name L. Kulabidhu Singh & Co. is well-established in the area. We don't do much in the way of decoration; we just focus on the work that needs to be finished. The avenue can be noisy, but once you’re inside the walls of Laxmi Bhavan, it gets a bit quieter. We usually keep the fans going to stay cool during the afternoon. It’s a straightforward business in a straightforward part of town. People know where MG Avenue is, so finding us in Block D is usually a simple task for anyone coming by.
