Jyoti Paints

We are located right near the Post Office in Imphal Bazar, specifically on Kangjabi Leirak. If you are coming from Thangmeiband Hijam Leikai, we are very close. Jyoti Paints isn't a massive warehouse, but we try to keep a decent variety of colors and types of paint on the shelves. The shop can get a bit dusty because of the road outside, but we try to keep the cans clean. People come in with all sorts of ideas for their houses. Some want bright colors and some just want something plain. We spend a lot of time mixing things and showing people how the colors look in different lights. It’s a lot of manual work, carrying heavy tins around and making sure the lids are on tight. The bazaar is always noisy, which we like. It feels alive. Sometimes we have to close early if there is something happening in the town, but usually, we are here from morning until evening. My wife often brings lunch to the shop, and we eat in the small back room among the brushes and rollers. It’s a family-run thing. We don't have a website or any fancy gadgets. Just a ledger, some color charts, and a lot of paint. We’ve been part of this community for a long time and hope to stay here.
