Shija Hospitals

Our hospital, Shija Hospitals, is out in the Langol area of Imphal West. Being in Manipur, we are surrounded by hills and a lot of green space. The location at Langol is a bit away from the very center of the city but it’s easy enough to find. We have been part of this community for many years. The building is quite large and we have plenty of space for everything. It’s a quiet area compared to the main market. You can see the hills from the windows on the upper floors. We just go about our business every morning starting early. We have a lot of staff who come in from different parts of Imphal West. The hospital isn't about being fancy; it’s about having a place where people can come. We have long corridors and many different wards. Sometimes the rain in Manipur gets very heavy and it’s loud on the roof. We just keep the lights on and keep working. People know us for being here in Langol. We don't have a marketing team writing stuff for us. We are just the people who work here, from the cleaners to the nurses. We see a lot of families coming through the doors. It is a steady, practical place. We just focus on the daily tasks and making sure everyone gets seen. The yard outside has some trees and we try to keep the gate clear for the ambulances. It's a simple, honest way of doing things.
