Our place, Shija Hospitals And Research Institute, is located right in Healthcity Langol, over in the Imphal-West area. It’s a pretty central spot for people around here. We’ve been working out of this building for a long time, and most people in the community know exactly where to find us. It’s not a quiet job, that’s for sure. From the moment we open up in the morning until late at night, there’s always something going on. We have folks coming in for all sorts of reasons, from minor scrapes to much bigger health issues that need more attention. We also spend a good chunk of our time on the research side, trying to figure things out in the labs. It’s a lot of hard work and sometimes the days feel really long, but that’s just how it is when you’re running a hospital in a place like Imphal-West. The staff here are mostly locals, so we know the families who come in. We don’t bother with fancy brochures or polished sales pitches. We just focus on the patients and the daily tasks that need to get done to keep the place running. It gets crowded and sometimes the wait times are longer than we’d like, but we do our best to get to everyone. It’s a plain, functional hospital where we just try to be useful to the people living nearby. That’s really all there is to it.
