We are located at Sagolband Salamleikai in Imphal. You can find us at Nirmala Devi’s place. It’s a typical neighborhood office, nothing too fancy or professional-looking. We started this because there was a need for someone to handle local issues in the IED-I area. Most of our time is spent sitting at the desk, writing things down in ledgers and talking to the people who walk through the door. The streets around here are quite narrow and it gets very busy during the day. We have a couple of fans that we keep running because it gets stuffy inside with all the paper and files everywhere. We are just a small group, and we don't have a big budget for things like marketing or nice furniture. We use old chairs and tables that have been around for years. Sometimes it feels like we are just chasing our tails with all the work, but we manage to get through it. We don't try to sound like a big organization because we aren't. We are just local people in Imphal West trying to keep things going for our neighbors. It’s a lot of talking, a lot of tea, and a lot of small tasks that add up. We keep the doors open and just take things one day at a time without much planning ahead. It is a simple way to work.
