Our office for Lamjingba Chitfund Private Limited is over in West Imphal, specifically around Nagamapal Rims Road. If you know where the Nityainanda Mandir is, we are very close to that temple. We share the space near K Bungbung Singh’s place at IED-II, C-4-68/1. It is a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it is not too bad if the weather is nice. The street can get crowded with people going to the hospital or the temple, especially on certain days of the week. Inside, the office is pretty simple. We have a couple of filing cabinets that are starting to get full and a few fans to keep the air moving when the sun is hitting the building. We don’t have a big reception desk or anything formal. Usually, one of us is just sitting at a desk near the front. We spend a lot of time just organizing things and chatting with whoever stops by. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit and wait for it to come back on. It is a quiet kind of work most of the time. We try to keep things organized even if the space is a bit cramped. The neighborhood is mostly families and small shops, so it feels like a familiar place to be every morning when we show up to open the shutters. We often share some snacks while we finish up the daily logs.
