Ingelei Foundation

Our place is over at Sagolbandsapam Leirak in the Lamphel area of Imphal. Specifically, we are at Ronald Singh’s spot. It is a bit tucked away in the lane, so you might miss it if you aren’t looking closely. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a regular house where we handle the foundation's business. We have a few rooms and some old wooden chairs for when people come by. Most of the day is spent dealing with papers and answering questions from people in the neighborhood. It gets pretty warm in the afternoons, so we usually have the windows open to catch a breeze from the Mamang and Makha side. We aren't a big team, just a couple of us who live nearby and know the area well. There is always someone coming in with a form to fill out or just wanting to talk about something happening in Sagolband. We don't have fancy computers or a big sign outside. It’s just a practical office for local work. We try to keep things organized but sometimes files get mixed up and we have to spend the morning sorting them out again. It’s a steady kind of life here. We just show up every day and do the work that needs doing without much fuss. If you are in the area, you’ll likely see us sitting there with the door open and a few files on the desk.
