Out here in Imphal, the Hdfc Slic office is located in Khwai Brahmapur, specifically in the Nagamapal area. The pin code is 795001, right in the heart of Manipur. It’s a lively part of the city with plenty of shops and people moving about. Our office is a straightforward place. We don't have fancy carpets or big art pieces on the walls. It’s just a room with some desks, some sturdy chairs, and a lot of forms that people need to sign. The weather in Imphal can be quite nice, but when the rain comes, it really pours down on Nagamapal. We usually have the doors open to let some air in during the day. You can hear the sounds of the local market nearby, which is always busy. We spend our time explaining things to people who walk in and helping them figure out what they need to do with their paperwork. It’s not a high-pressure corporate office. We know many of the people who come in by name. There’s a small bench for people to sit on while they wait. We use a lot of staplers and paperclips, and there’s always a search for a working pen. It’s just a regular office where we do our bit. The building is simple, and we’ve made ourselves at home here in this part of town. It’s a good spot to be, right in the middle of everything.
