We are located at LSD-I, A-6-3/1, staying with Mrs. Anoubam Indira Devi. It is a very local, residential setting in Imphal West. The house is where we do all our planning and coordination. It is not your typical glass-and-steel office building that you see in big cities. Instead, it feels like a home because it is one. We sit in the main room and go over our schedules and student progress for the week. The area is usually quiet, filled with families and the sounds of local life. You can hear the neighborhood waking up throughout the morning. We focus on helping students get through their exams and find some success in whatever they are studying. It involves a lot of coaching and some late-night preparation. We have bookshelves lining the walls, filled with old textbooks and study guides. Sometimes we have tea and local snacks while we work through a particularly tough set of problems. It is a very hands-on way of doing things. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who really care about what happens to the kids who come here for help. We have been part of this community for a long time now. People know where to find us. We do not need to advertise much.
