Birjit Enterprises

We are based in Singjamei Village, right near the post office and the basketball ground. It is a nice spot to be because the basketball ground is always active with kids playing and people hanging out, so it feels very much like being in the heart of the community. We are a small enterprise that handles a bit of everything for the people living in the village and the nearby Nil Tehsil. Our office is quite simple, just a room with a desk and some filing cabinets where we keep track of our trade and service work. We aren't in this to become a huge company; we just want to provide the things our neighbors need. Whether it is helping with supplies or some general service task, we try to be available when people need us. We’ve lived here for years, so we know most of the families around Singjamei. It is the kind of place where you stop and chat with someone for ten minutes before even talking about business. We don't have a website or any fancy marketing stuff. People just know where we are and what we do because word spreads fast in a village like this. Sometimes the work is slow and other times we are running around all day, but that is just how it goes. We’re happy to be a small part of how this village works and to keep things moving along in our own way, day after day.
