I run this company out of Sega Road, specifically near the Jailor Leirak area. It’s right in Konjeng Hajari Leikai here in Imphal West. Since it’s a one-person company, I end up doing a bit of everything myself. I’m usually the one answering the phone, checking the stock, and talking to the delivery guys. Manipur is a great place for food and beverages because we have so many local ingredients to work with. The office isn’t anything special. It’s just a room with a desk, a couple of chairs, and some storage space for the products. It gets pretty loud outside when the traffic picks up on Sega Road. I’ve lived in this area for a long time, so I know a lot of the neighbors. They sometimes stop by to see how things are going. Starting a food business on your own is a lot harder than I thought it would be. There’s so much paperwork to keep track of, and sometimes I feel like I’m drowning in it. But then a good day comes along and everything goes right. I don’t have a big marketing plan or a fancy logo. I just want to provide something useful to the community and make a decent living. It’s a very hands-on job. Some days I’m covered in flour or sticky juice, but that’s just how it is when you’re building something from scratch. It takes time but I am getting there.
