M/S L I Steel

We started this business in Khurai Konsam Leikai Village because we saw that people around here needed a place to get steel for their building projects. It is a pretty quiet spot most of the time, just tucked away in the village. We keep different types of iron rods, sheets, and other steel stuff piled up in the yard. My brother and I manage the place ourselves. We spend most of our day moving things around and loading up trucks when they arrive. It is definitely dusty work and your clothes get dirty fast, but it’s a living. We don't have a big fancy office with air conditioning. There is just a small room with a wooden desk and a couple of chairs where people can sit while we work out the details. When it rains, the ground around the shop gets really muddy, which makes moving the heavy steel even harder. We try to keep everything organized, but steel takes up a lot of space and it's hard to keep it perfectly tidy. If you are coming from the main road, you just have to look for the village sign. We handle most of the cutting ourselves if someone needs a specific length for a gate or a roof. It takes a bit of time to get it right. We aren't a big factory or anything, just local people trying to help out the neighbors and make ends meet.
