Mother'S Care Children Hospital & Research Centre

Our hospital and research center is tucked away in Sagolband Moirang Leirak. If you are familiar with this part of the city, you know it’s a place with a lot of history and some narrow lanes that can be hard to navigate. We focus on taking care of children, and that keeps the building very lively and loud most of the time. There is always a lot of noise, with babies crying and kids playing in the waiting area while they wait for their turn with the doctor. We also have a research side where we look into health problems that are common for children in our specific region. It’s not always easy balancing the busy clinic work with the research data, but we manage somehow with the small team we have. The staff here is hardworking, and many of them live right nearby in the Sagolband area. The hospital building has been around for quite a while, and we’ve had to fix the roof and the plumbing here and there to keep it running. During the monsoon, the road outside can get very muddy, but parents still bring their kids in from all over the city. We have a few beds for children who need to stay for treatment and a small lab area for the research work. It’s a very practical, hands-on environment without any of the fancy corporate fluff. We just stick to the essentials. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we’ve been doing for years now. We usually share a meal together in the back office during the afternoon break.
