We set up Angom Consultant Private Limited right here in Wangkhei Angom Leikai. It’s a pretty quiet spot in Imphal East, but things stay busy inside the office most days. Most people around here just know us as the place to go when they need some advice or help with their paperwork. It isn't a huge operation with hundreds of employees or anything like that. It is just a few of us working out of the Ied - Iii, 5 - Ea - 16/7 address. We’ve been here long enough that the postman doesn't need to look at the numbers anymore. The office itself is simple. We have our desks, some chairs for people to sit while they wait, and a lot of filing cabinets that probably need cleaning out. It’s not always perfectly tidy, especially when we have several projects going at once. We don’t really do big marketing or advertisements. People mostly find us through word of mouth or because they live in the neighborhood. Imphal is a place where everyone kind of knows everyone else, so we try to do a decent job so people keep coming back. Sometimes the internet is slow or the weather makes things difficult, but that is just how it is living in Manipur. We open up in the morning and stay until the work is finished for the day. It’s a basic way to run a business, but it works for us and the people we help.
