The Tall Trees

We are located at P.B. No.40 on Bison Valley Road in Pothemedu. The place is called The Tall Trees because we are surrounded by them. They are very tall and they block out a lot of the sun, which keeps things cool even when it is warm elsewhere. It is a bit of a drive to get up here because the roads are narrow and have a lot of turns. We have been here for a while and we are used to the quiet. It is not like the city at all. Most of what you hear is just the wind in the leaves or some birds in the morning. Sometimes we get a lot of mist and you can’t even see the trees from the front door. We have some cottages for guests to stay in. We spend a lot of time walking up and down the paths to check on things. It keeps us fit, I suppose. The staff is small and we all live nearby. We don't have a lot of fancy technology here. Sometimes the power goes out if there is a storm, and we just light some candles and wait for it to come back on. It’s a simple way of living. We grow some of our own vegetables in the back, though the soil is a bit rocky. We just do our best with what we have. It’s peaceful, and we like being away from the noise of the main roads.
