You can find Spiceweb Agro Traders Llp on the first floor of the Mundanattu Building. We are right near the Federal Bank Town ATM, which is what we tell everyone when they are trying to find us. Being up on the first floor means we are constantly hauling bags and boxes up and down the stairs. It’s hard work, especially when it’s humid out, and by Friday everyone is pretty tired. Our space at 6/67 1St Floormundanattu Building is mostly filled with samples of different spices and other agro goods. The smell is the first thing you notice—it’s a mix of pepper, ginger, and other things that really sticks to your clothes by the end of the day. We do a lot of trading, so the phones are always busy and there’s usually someone coming in to check the quality of a batch or talk about the current market prices. The office is small, so we have to stay organized or we’d run out of room to walk. We have a window that looks out over the street so we can see the people going in and out of the bank. It’s a busy part of town. We don't have any glossy brochures or a corporate mission. We just trade spices and try to do a decent job with what we have. It’s a lot of checking the rates and talking to suppliers every morning. That’s just how the trading business works here.
