Sas Steels

We've been here in Vengallur, Manakka for a while now, right near the Oil Line Bypass in Idukki district. If you know the area, you probably pass by us quite often. Sas Steels is just what we do every day. We handle a lot of metal stuff. It’s a busy spot around here with the bypass traffic, but we manage. My brother and I usually open up early to get things ready before the sun gets too hot. People from around Idukki come by because they know where to find us. We don't really do much fancy talk. It is just a regular workshop where we keep our inventory and help out whoever stops in. Sometimes the dust from the road gets inside, but that’s just part of being near the bypass. We have been working with steel for a long time. It’s hard work, and our hands are usually dirty by noon. We aren't a big fancy office. It's just a yard and a small building where we keep the stock. If someone needs something for a project, they just pull up. We check what’s in the back and see if it fits. That is how it goes. The location is easy to explain to people because of the Oil Line. Most of the locals know the turn. We just keep our heads down and stay busy with the orders coming in from across the district. It is not always easy but we keep going regardless.
