Sahiahill Nidhi Limited

If you’re ever up in Elappara, specifically in the Idukki district, you might come across the Ramarath Building. That’s where Sahiahill Nidhi Limited is, at door number 13/274. It’s a beautiful part of Kerala, but we’re usually too busy with paperwork to look out at the hills for long. The office is pretty basic. We have some wooden desks and chairs that have been around for a long time. People come in from the surrounding areas to talk about their savings or see about an account. We know how hard people work around here, so we try to be as straightforward as possible with them. There isn't any fancy lobby or a receptionist to greet you. You just walk in and talk to whoever is sitting at the desk. We keep our records in big ledgers and on the computer, making sure everything is where it should be. The air is usually cool because of the altitude, which makes the office a comfortable place to sit during the day. We don't have any big mission statements or posters on the walls. We just focus on the task at hand. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow up here, so we have to wait a bit to update things, but we always get the job done eventually. It’s a quiet life and a quiet business. We like being part of the Elappara community and helping out. It’s just a normal job for us.
