Our business, Pravasi Apparels Private Limited, is right there in the Sreekrishna Swami Temple building. Being in Nedumkandam P.O., we are right in the middle of the local activity. You can often hear the temple bells or the sound of people walking by to the temple. It is a solid old building. It doesn't have any of those modern glass walls you see in the city. We have our rooms set up here and that is where we do all our daily work. Nedumkandam is a hilly place, so the weather can get a bit misty sometimes. We like being in this specific building because everyone knows where the temple is. It makes giving directions very easy. We spend our hours sorting through things and managing the apparel side of the business. It gets busy during certain times of the day when the post office nearby is open. There isn’t anything fancy about our office. It’s just desks, chairs, and the work we have to do. We’ve been here for a while and the routine stays mostly the same. You show up, you do the work, and you go home. Being in a temple building gives the place a very specific feel, very grounded and local. We don’t need much else to keep things moving along. It is a practical arrangement for us here in Nedumkandam. This is our base where we keep everything organized and running.
