Pds Organic Spices

Our place is up in Valanjanganam, Kuttikkanam. It’s a beautiful part of the country, often covered in thick mist in the mornings. Pds Organic Spices is right here where the spices actually grow. We spend a lot of our time dealing with the local farmers who bring in their harvests to us. Kuttikkanam is perfect for things like pepper and cardamom because of the cool weather and the rain. Our building isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a practical space where we sort and pack the spices. You can smell the cloves and cinnamon from the road before you even see the building. We don't have a big sales team or a fancy office. It’s mostly just us and the people who help with the drying and sorting every day. We use old-fashioned scales sometimes because they still work just fine for what we need. My hands usually smell like black pepper by the end of the day. We don't do much in the way of promotional stuff. The spices speak for themselves, really. We just make sure they are cleaned properly and packed up for whoever needs them. Sometimes the mountain roads get blocked when there’s heavy rain, so we have to wait a few days for the trucks. It’s a quiet life up here away from the big cities, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just focus on the plants.
