Marthoma Granites

If you’re driving down Muvattupuzha Road in Thodupuzha, you’ll find Marthoma Granites. We’re right there by the side of the road. It’s a busy route with cars and buses heading back and forth all day long. The noise becomes like background music after a while. We have our granite stock spread out across the yard. Thodupuzha gets its fair share of rain, which keeps the dust off the stone for a bit, but it also makes the yard a bit slippery. We spend a lot of hours out here in the open air. It’s hard work moving these slabs, and you have to be careful with your back. The location on Muvattupuzha Road is easy to find if you’re looking for it. We see all kinds of people stopping by to ask about the different types of granite we have sitting out. We don’t have any polished sales talk, just the stone itself. Sometimes we sit out front when things are slow and watch the traffic go by. There’s always another truck coming in or another slab to move. The granite stays cold in the mornings and gets hot by noon. We’ve been at this spot for quite some time now. It’s just how we make our living here in Thodupuzha. Nothing more to it than that, just us and the stone on the side of the road. It's a simple life and we stay busy most days.
