Highrange Hospitals And Research Centre Private Limited is based in Rajakkad, up in the Idukki district. Our address is Door No. X/309 in the Pathippallil building. Being in the highrange area means we deal with a lot of local people from the surrounding hills. It’s a beautiful place to live, but the roads are steep and can be difficult when the weather is bad. We see a lot of patients who travel quite a way to get here. The building itself is honest and functional, built to handle the heavy Kerala rains. We have a research side to the centre as well, but the daily clinic is what keeps us really busy. Most of our staff are locals who have been with us for years. We know the families around Rajakkad and they know us. Sometimes the mist is so thick in the morning you can barely see the entrance from the road. We don't have a big fancy lobby with coffee machines. It’s just a place where people come to get better. The power often goes out during the monsoon, so we have to rely on our generators quite a bit. It’s just part of the life here. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to keep everything moving. It’s a steady, busy life in the hospital and we just take it one day at a time without any fuss.
