We are based at the Edackattu House in Spring Valley, which is up in the Kumily area of Idukki. It’s a beautiful part of Kerala, surrounded by a lot of greenery and hills. Gama Al Moushegha Arabia Ltd might have a bit of an international-sounding name, but here on the ground, we are just a small team working out of a family-style house. The pace of life is a bit different here than in the big cities. We don't rush through things just for the sake of it. Sometimes the rain in the Idukki district can be quite heavy, and everything slows down, so we just wait for it to pass. Our office doesn't look like a corporate headquarters. It’s comfortable and a bit lived-in, with plenty of space for us to sit and go over our plans. We don't use marketing talk or try to sound like we’re something we aren't. We are just local people who have some good connections and know how to manage our projects. If you come to visit, you’ll probably be offered some water or tea, and we’ll just talk normally about what needs to be done. We don't have any big mission statements. We just aim to stay busy and do work that we can be okay with at the end of the day. It’s a quiet, practical way to operate a business.
