Don Motor Driving School

We are up on the first floor of the Parakattu Building right on the main Muvattupuzha-Thodupuzha Road. If you know Thodupuzha, you probably pass us all the time when you're heading toward the market or going home. It gets a bit noisy with the traffic outside, but it’s a good spot for people to find us easily. We’ve been teaching folks how to handle a steering wheel for a while now. Most people come in feeling pretty nervous about the clutch and gears, especially when they first sit in the driver's seat. We just take them out on the local roads and let them get a feel for it. It isn't always easy, and sometimes the traffic is a mess, but that’s how you learn. The office isn't anything fancy, just a couple of desks and some chairs where we fill out the forms for the license. We deal with the RTO paperwork too, which can be a real headache with all the back and forth. Usually, someone is here by the morning to get things started. We see a lot of young kids wanting their first license and older people who finally decided it’s time to stop taking the bus. Every day is a bit different depending on who shows up for their lesson. Sometimes the weather is bad and we have to slow down, but we mostly keep the cars moving. It’s just us doing our thing in this part of Idukki.
