Chola Arts Emporium

Our place is located right on Thekkedy Road in Kumily. If you know the area, it's pretty easy to find us as you head along the main route. We’ve been set up here for a long time, dealing with different kinds of art and local items. The shop gets a lot of dust from the road, so we spend a fair bit of time cleaning the glass cases and wiping down the shelves. It’s a local spot, nothing too fancy or modern. We have a mix of stuff that we’ve collected over the months. Sometimes it’s crowded with things, and other times it feels a bit more open depending on what’s come in. People visiting the area often wander in while they’re waiting for a bus or just walking through Kumily. We don’t have a big team, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. The weather here can be a bit unpredictable, which affects how many people are out and about. We just open up in the morning and stay until evening. It's a simple way to make a living. We talk to the neighbors and the regulars who pass by every day. There isn’t much corporate stuff going on here. We just focus on the items we have and making sure the shop stays running. It’s been our routine for years now and we don't plan on changing much. We just keep the door open for anyone.
