Agadi Grocery

We have been here at 6 Thodupuzha Road in Karimkunnam for quite some time now. It is a small place, but it keeps us busy from morning until late evening. Every day is pretty much the same. We open up the shutters, sweep the front, and start putting the crates of vegetables and bags of grains out where people can see them. Karimkunnam is a quiet enough place, but this road gets a fair bit of traffic. Most of the people who come in are our neighbors or folks heading home from work. They usually just need some basics for dinner or something they forgot to pick up earlier in the week. Sometimes the delivery trucks are late because of the weather, and we just have to wait around. It gets a bit crowded inside when more than three people are standing by the counter, especially near the pulses and spices. We try to keep everything tidy, but when the sacks arrive, there is always some dust and bits of husk on the floor. It is just part of the job. I spend a lot of time checking the stock and making sure we haven't run out of the things people ask for most. We don't have any fancy displays or anything like that. It is just a regular grocery store where you can get what you need without much fuss. If you walk down Thodupuzha Road, you will find Agadi Grocery easily enough right there at number six.
