Saraswat Man Power Services

Saraswat Man Power Services is right at Shop No-1, near the main bus stand and the Jhanvi Masjid market. Being near the bus stand means it is always noisy and full of people. There are always buses honking and people rushing to catch their rides. Our shop is small and opens right onto the street, so you can see everything that’s happening in the market. We have a couple of benches inside where people sit and wait to talk to us about jobs. The walls are covered with some old notices and a big whiteboard where we write down names. It gets quite dusty because of the road being so close, so we have to wipe down the desks every single morning. The ceiling fan hums a lot, but it helps with the heat. We get all kinds of people coming in from the nearby villages looking for work. It’s a very busy spot and there’s never really a quiet moment until the market closes at night. Sometimes the tea seller from across the street brings us a few glasses while we work through the applications. It’s an honest, basic place that doesn't try to look like more than it is. We just deal with people and placements all day long in the middle of all that market chaos. Most of our day is spent listening to people’s stories and trying to find a spot where they can earn a decent wage. It is a simple life.
