The Ichalkaranji Hardware

Our shop, The Ichalkaranji Hardware, sits right on the Main Road at Plot No. 11/100 in Kolhapur. We are quite close to Ranatakar Bank, which makes it easy for people to find us when they are out doing their errands. It’s a typical hardware store. We have shelves packed with all sorts of things like nails, hammers, pipes, and paints. It’s a bit cramped inside because we try to fit as much stock as possible into the space we have. You might have to step over a few boxes to get to the back. We serve a lot of the local farmers and homeowners who need to fix something that broke. We don’t really do fancy displays. If you need a specific bolt, we probably have it buried in a drawer somewhere. The shop can get quite dusty, especially when the wind blows in from the Main Road. We open early in the morning and stay open until the sun goes down. People stop by to chat as much as they do to buy things. It’s a community spot in a way. We have been part of the Kolhapur business scene for years. We don't bother with corporate strategies. We just sell hardware at a fair price and try to help people figure out what tool they actually need for their repair job. It is a humble living but we enjoy being right in the middle of the town's activity. Our shelves are a bit messy, but the regulars know where to look for whatever they might need.
