Asm Auto Machine

We are based out in Ichalkaranji, which is in the Hatkanagale area of Kolhapur. The shop is near Mangalwar Peth. It’s a bit of a drive from the main city center, but it’s a good spot for us. We have various machines here for auto work. The building is simple, just bricks and a tin roof that makes a lot of noise when it rains. I usually open up the shutters early in the morning. There is a lot of dust from the road, so I have to sweep the floor almost every day. People from the nearby villages bring their parts here. We spend the day turning handles and checking measurements. It’s quiet work mostly, except for the hum of the motors. I usually have my lunch in the back room where it's a bit cooler. The tea stall down the road brings over a few cups every afternoon. We don’t have a website or anything like that. Word of mouth is how most people find out about us near Mangalwar Peth. Some days we have more work than we can handle, and other days we just sit and clean the tools. It’s a slow life in some ways, but the machines keep us busy. The Ichalkaranji weather can be tough, but we are used to it by now. After a long day, I usually sit on the bench outside for a few minutes before locking the heavy metal gate for the night.
