Malani Granites

Our place is right near Radhakrishna Circle, which is always noisy with all the traffic passing by. Being so close to the Cloth Market means there are always people walking around or parked where they shouldn't be. We deal with granite slabs here. These stones are big, heavy, and always cold when you touch them. We keep them leaning against the walls in our yard. Moving them takes a lot of effort and you really have to watch your feet. The Premsagar area is a decent place to be, but the parking situation is a real nightmare most days. People come in wanting a specific shade of grey or black for their kitchen counters. We just walk them through the rows and show them what we got on the last truck. Some of the stone pieces have natural cracks or weird patterns. Some people like that look and others don't, but that is just how natural stone is. We don't usually polish them until someone actually buys them. The water we use for cutting makes the floor wet all day long, so we have to wear rubber boots to keep our feet dry. It is a messy business, to be honest. There is dust everywhere, especially when the wind blows in from the circle. We have been at this specific spot for many years now. We know the other shop owners around the circle quite well. It’s just work for us.
