Water Meters | Watflux

If you go over by Khairatabad Masjid, you will find our place where we handle all the Water Meters. We call ourselves Watflux, but most folks just know us as the meter guys near the mosque. It is a busy area, so there’s always something going on outside the door. We spend a lot of time checking dials and making sure the boxes are sealed up tight. It isn’t the most exciting work in the world, but someone has to do it so the water keeps flowing right. The shop is a bit small, and we have parts stacked up on the shelves wherever they fit. Sometimes it takes a minute to find the exact piece we need, but we always get there. We’ve been in this part of town long enough to know everyone’s name on the street. You won't find any glossy brochures here. We mostly just write things down in a ledger and talk to people face-to-face. It feels better that way. If a meter is leaking or acting funny, we take a look and see if it can be fixed. It’s just us doing our thing in Khairatabad. We try to keep things simple and honest without making a big fuss about it. The coffee is usually hot, and the tools are always ready. When it rains, we have to pull the inventory back from the edge.
