If you find yourself on S.D. Road, look for Deviki Chambers at 1-7-77/79. Voltamp Transformers Pvt. Ltd. is located right there on the second floor in Flat No. 208. It is a busy area with a lot of shops and people constantly moving around. Our office is not very large, but we have managed to fit everything we need into it. There are stacks of technical manuals and folders piled up on most surfaces. Since we are on the second floor, we get a good view of the street below, which can be quite distracting when the traffic gets really bad. We focus on the engineering side of transformers from this location. Most of the heavy lifting happens elsewhere, so this is where the brains of the operation sit. The building is a bit older, so the elevator can be a little temperamental sometimes. Most of us just take the stairs to stay awake. We drink a lot of tea throughout the day to keep our energy up. There is no big corporate vibe here. We are just a group of people who know a lot about electricity and magnetism. We do not have a marketing department to write fancy slogans for us. We just answer the phones, do the calculations, and make sure the projects are on track. It is a steady job in a busy part of town, and we have grown quite fond of this little corner of S.D. Road.
