Trisakthi Farms

Our place, Trisakthi Farms, is situated at No. 16 on the Vikaspuri ESI AG Colony Road. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but it’s where we have the space to do what we do. We spend most of our time outside or in the sheds dealing with whatever is growing or needs attention on the farm. It’s a lot of physical work, and our hands are usually dirty from the soil. We aren’t a big commercial operation with hundreds of workers. It’s just a small team of us looking after the plants and the land. The weather really dictates our schedule, so some days we’re out there at dawn and other days we’re hiding from the rain. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. If people want to see what we have, they usually just drive down the AG Colony Road and stop by the gate. We grow a variety of things depending on the season, and we sell what we can to the local markets or people who drop by. It’s a quiet way to live compared to the middle of the city. There’s always a fence to fix or a patch of ground to clear, so we’re never really bored. We just keep our heads down and try to make sure the crops are doing okay. It’s not a glamorous life, but it’s what we know.
