Vijaya Laxmi Tailoring & Embroidary Works

I run this little shop called Vijaya Laxmi Tailoring & Embroidary Works right here in Padmarao Nagar Colony, Phase-1. It's located at H. No. 272/2/A in Chintal. I’ve been sitting at my sewing machine for a long time now. People from the colony come in when they need a blouse stitched or maybe some embroidery done on a saree for a wedding. It gets really crowded during the festival season and I end up working late into the night. My shop isn't fancy, just a few machines and piles of colorful cloth everywhere. Sometimes the thread tangles up or a needle breaks, but that is just how it goes. I try to get the measurements right so the clothes fit properly. It is mostly local ladies who drop by after dropping their kids at school. We talk about the weather or the price of vegetables while I mark the fabric with chalk. The Idpl area is a busy place and there is always noise from the street outside. I don't have a big team or anything, just a couple of us working hard to finish the orders on time. I’ve lived in this part of Chintal for years and everyone knows where the shop is. If you need a simple alteration or some heavy work on a dress, I just do what needs to be done. It's basic work but it keeps the house running.
