Out here in Singaipally, things move a bit differently than they do in the city. Our place at 5-12-86 in Hakimpet is where the daily routine happens. It’s mostly about the birds and the eggs, really. You wake up early because the farm doesn’t wait for anyone. The air smells like the countryside, which is a nice change if you’ve spent time in Hyderabad recently. We spend a lot of time checking the temperature and making sure the feed is right. It’s dusty work, and your clothes usually show it by the end of the shift. We’ve got a group of workers who live nearby, so there’s a lot of local chatter during the breaks. The road out here isn't the smoothest, so we always keep an eye on the trucks coming in to pick up the crates. If a rainstorm hits, we have to move fast to make sure everything stays dry. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s steady. We don't have a big corporate office with fancy chairs; just a desk where the logs get filled out every evening. Sometimes the power cuts out for a bit, and we have to get the backup going quickly. It keeps us on our toes. There’s always something that needs fixing or a shed that needs a quick look. It's just honest work in the poultry business that keeps us occupied from dawn until dusk.
