Vellala Markandeya Sarma

The name Vellala Markandeya Sarma has a lot of weight to it, but we’re just regular folks working out of Hyderabad. Our address in the 500001 zip code is right in the heart of things. It can be a bit overwhelming with the noise from the street, but you get used to it after a week or two. The office itself is nothing special to look at. We have some shelves filled with papers and a few plants that honestly could use more water. We don't really follow a strict corporate schedule. If someone needs to take off early for a family thing, they just go. We trust each other to get the work done eventually. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't have a mission statement hanging on the wall. The only thing on our walls are some old calendars and maybe a photo from a few years back. We aren't trying to change the world or anything. We just want to do a decent job and earn a living. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other times it stays silent for hours. That’s just the nature of the work. People know us as Sarma’s place mostly. It’s been that way for a long time and we don’t see any reason to change it now. We just carry on with our daily routines and hope for the best for everyone who stops by our little office.
