Uttam Industries

You can find Uttam Industries over at 25-7-84 on Basti Road in Chintal. We are right opposite Shadan College, which makes it easy to explain to people who haven't been here before. The street is always busy with students and local traffic. Our place is an old-school workshop setup. We’ve been here quite a while, and the walls have the marks to show for it. It's not a polished environment. There’s grease, there’s metal, and there’s the sound of work being done. We usually open up quite early because the traffic on Basti Road gets bad later in the day. The shop is filled with various bits of equipment and materials we use. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the work. It’s a straightforward business. We don’t have a fancy office upstairs or anything like that. If you need us, you just walk in and talk to whoever is nearest the door. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when several things are happening at once, but we manage. Living and working in Chintal means you get used to the noise and the constant movement of the city. We just focus on what’s in front of us. It’s a practical way to spend the day, making things and keeping the business going year after year without making a big deal out of it. We are just normal folks working in the shop.
