Nava Nirman Polymers

Our workshop is located in the IDA Uppal area, right across from where Alkali Metals is situated. If you know the neighborhood, we’re at Plot P2/1. We work with polymers, which means we spend a lot of time dealing with raw materials and high-temperature processing. It’s a bit of a gritty job, and the smell of hot plastic is something you just get used to after a week or two. We started Nava Nirman because we knew the industry and had some old machines to get going. Since then, we’ve just been plugging away day after day. Uppal is a busy hub for this kind of work, so we are surrounded by other shops doing similar things. We aren't the biggest outfit on the block, but we hold our own. The guys working the shifts are local and they know the equipment inside out. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just have our plot and our tools. Sometimes the power goes out or a delivery is late, and we just deal with it as it comes. It's a very practical way of living. We focus on the production line and making sure the batches come out right. It’s tough, physical work, but it pays the bills and keeps the local economy moving a little bit. We just keep at it until the job is done.
