Our place is at 24, Spencers Compound in Dindigul, Tamil Nadu. It’s a bit of a dusty area, but that’s just how it is around here. We’ve been running Unit Construction Company Ltd from this spot for a while now. The office isn't anything you’d see in a magazine. It’s just a practical building where we keep our tools, some desks, and all the records for the jobs we’re doing. Dindigul can get incredibly hot, so we usually have the windows open to catch whatever breeze there is, even if it brings in a bit of dust from the compound. We mostly focus on getting things built. It involves a lot of talking to workers and making sure we have enough supplies like sand and bricks. We don't have any polished sales pitches. If someone needs something built, they usually just come by or we talk it out over the phone. It’s a lot of hard work under the sun, and the office is where we come to handle the boring stuff like bills and permits. We’ve got a small crew and we all know each other pretty well. There’s no corporate ladder or anything like that here. We just try to do a decent job and move on to the next task. It’s a quiet enough life, apart from the noise of the machinery when we have it in the yard. We just keep things moving as best as we can every day.
